Hole: the band
Hole is practically synonymous with alternative rock music. The band was founded by the great late Kurt Cobain's (of Nirvana fame) wife Courtney Love along with lead guitarist Eric Elandson and bassist Lisa Roberts in 1989, and disbanded some 13 years later (in 2002). Shifting around some band members, they churned out some hits, making international airwaves with the album Celebrity Skin carrying the single of the same title, and "Malibu." band that formed in Los Angeles in 1989 and disbanded in 2002.
On VH1's countdown of the 100 Greatest Hard Rock Bands, Hole was number 77.
